Hurricane Aiden was an unexpected category 5 hurricane that was in the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season. It formed from the remnants and remains of Tropical Depression Six-H in the Pacific region of Tampa Bay, Florida. Where thousands of Florida Men died It eventually took path towards the big bend of Florida, similar to Hurricane Laura, which first formed in the Bay of Campeche which then took northeastward towards the Big Bend of Florida. This hurricane was one of the most dangerous ones caught on record in Florida. It cost over $26 million in damage and was also named after a student who got shot to death at a school. The hurricane ended when crossing the Atlantic border, and soon it dissipated on August 7th, 2019.

Meteorological History[]

Tropical Depression Six-H formed in the Atlantic in July 28th of 2019, however about two days later a major Category 5 hurricane was formed. It hit the parts of Tampa Bay of Florida before eventually moving onto the the new parts of the Big Bend in Florida.

About over a week later, the hurricane ended. Over 30 people were left dead and emergency, medical, fire, , and electrical services were called over to the affected areas and homes that cost over $26 million in damage.

Impact[]

Tampa Bay[]

The main part to get hit. It was also the only major city to get affected by the hurricane. The power in Tampa Bay went out and power lines and trees came crashing down on homes and buildings.

Big Bend[]

Hurricane Aiden then went to the Big Bend, where it caused the least damage. However, power lines were cut out and a lot of electricity didn’t work.

How it Formed[]

To this day, modern scientists still don’t really have a clue as to how this hurricane formed, as it wasn’t the warm waves or bad weather that caused this event.
