The 2021 Birmingham, Alabama wildfire was a very long lived, very destructive wildfire that began on June 10, lasting for 9 days before being contained and put out. 12 people died, 155 others were injured, and total damages reached $400 million in the areas affected by the event. In addition, 3 people remain missing, now presumed dead as a result of never having been found.
